We are all well aware that the release could have gone better, but this announcement is meant to address many of the issues and concerns that have arisen since then. Please take the time to read everything over, and if you have more questions, or would like to discuss anything, please do so in the following thread: Discuss Announcement Released 10/05/2017
We agree that wallets should have been available to all users upon Pirl’s launch. While there was a Windows wallet available at launch, the release had to be delayed because of a security issue with it. The Windows wallet delay, along with issues in basic communication, lead to what happened. While we would like to go back in time and change how the release went, we can’t; So, we are working hard to make things right. Windows users can find a wallet they can use here - https://wallet.pirl.io
A desktop wallet is in progress, and nearing completion. Barring any major issues, it will be released before the end of next week (10/15/2017). For those of you that wish to build the desktop wallet for yourself and check it out before release, please visit https://github.com/pirl/Oystr
It may have been a surprise that a development fund has been created, but without one, it’s extremely difficult to develop and maintain any coin. Currently, the block size is 12, with 2 coins going to the development fund.
These funds are to be used for bounties, community developers and managers, software developers, and advertising.
In the future, when masternodes are implemented, half of these development funds (one coin per block) will be put toward compensation to those who run them.
Just to allay any fears of coins being dumped onto exchanges - nothing of the sort will be happening. We all want this project to succeed, and these funds are needed to help Pirl grow.
There was a problem with communication between the devs and community after release. The reason being, is that there was no structure to handle the loads of messages and posts with only two devs to answer. To address this issue, previously mentioned community managers have been appointed.
All announcements and developments regarding Pirl will, from now on, be posted in this announcements section of the forum. Information is going to be provided in an organized fashion, and the community will always be kept informed of new developments here on the forum.

As many of you already know, Pirl has been listed on one exchange thus far, https://stocks.exchange/trade/PIRL/BTC/ . We have reached out to other exchanges as well; As of right now, there are no specifics to be told due to still being in discussions with them. We will keep the community updated with any new developments regarding exchanges, And we are not stopping at stocks.exchange, working to have Pirl listed at many others.
As you might expect, part of what we referenced as a dev fund will also be used to pay out people that run masternodes. The number of Pirl needed as collateral to run a masternode is intended to be decided by the community. A voting mechanism is intended to be added to the Blockchain by the community, so that anyone with at least 1 Pirl can vote. Specifics regarding a timeline on this still need to be determined, and we will keep everyone updated as things progress.
